Following from a couple of recent highly successful typographic quote illustrations, and after recently illustrating a quote for the official UKScouts social media profiles, I’ve wanted to add to this and have produced a ‘Never Say Never’ typographic quote.
Produced digitally, this quote was inspired by my sketchbook, which I produced travelling up to Newcastle a few weeks ago, which you can see the development pages below. I always think it’s important for myself to keep a sketchbook whenever I travel, to practise my drawing, to draw ideas and concepts, and practise my typography.
Concentrating on arrows (I’m not too sure why this is, I could come up with some explanation for this idea but I have none – haha!), these appear on each of the words within the quote, and also has speech bubbles in the background too. I wanted to concentrate on a limited colour palette, and working on an illustration which was not only quick, but something that I can show you guys and put within my online portfolio.
