With some interesting projects going on at the moment, which I’ll be hopefully be able to show you in a few weeks time (or at least some brief snapshots of how it’s going), I wanted to produce a new personal hand-rendered design in-between commissioned projects.
After doing a bit of research online and finding a quick and punchy quote, I came across Robert Delaunay’s quote – “Vision is the true creative rhythm.” This was the perfect quote to illustrate towards, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
After sketching my ideas and compositions into my sketchbook, which can all be found below and also on my Instagram account (come say hi!), I took this into the final artwork, which was produced with fine liner. From here I scanned this into Photoshop for editing and adding colour to the piece.
I’ve been getting into typography illustration more and more recently, and love creating new typographic quotes like this one, which I hope to add to in the near future! I’ve also added this image to my illustration portfolio, so do take a look!
