Following on from a busy period for me, from logo designs to illustrating for editorial publications, I’ve got some more good news today, where I share a brand new typography illustration for the guys over at UKScouts.
I was asked to produce a typographic illustration which will go onto their social media platforms, which you can see here! It’s a big privilege to produce work for this national and important association, and I’m really pleased with how it has turned out. I was part of The Cubs when I was younger, so this means a lot for me to illustrate for the UKScouts!
I really enjoy producing typography illustrations, as it’s another form of design that I love, that I’m constantly getting better at – or at least I hope.
The Creative Director asked me to react to the quote – “Art flourishes where there is a sense of adventure” by Alfred North Whitehead. I loved the quote from day one, as it allowed me to be as creative as possible, which was mainly produced digitally to form the type.
The illustration concentrates on a limited colour palette, that incorporates bright colours that are eye catching for social media. I also wanted to use bold typefaces which will be seen on phones and tablets.
Below you can see the typography illustration, my sketchbook developments, and also a few detailed shots of the typographic illustration, which I very much hope you like!
Many thanks for listening and visiting my news page today. You can follow what I’m up to on my Twitter, Facebook or Instagram pages, I’ll really appreciate it if you do, and don’t be afraid to say hi to me! Many thanks again, and have a great day!
