If you’re a keen follower of me and my work (especially on my Instagram profile), you will know how passionate and addicted I am to producing portrait illustrations, from drawing, painting to digital painting.
I want to communicate how much I like producing portraits within my portfolio, and as I haven’t got many portrait illustrations within my portfolio (apart from my Breaking Bad Portraits), I decided to add a new project to my online portfolio. By doing this I will hopefully get a few more portraits commissions as a result, fingers crossed!
Titled ‘Portrait Illustrations’, this project on my online portfolio reveals a few personal portrait illustrations that I’ve been working on recently, and I’m going to keep adding to this collection, and have a project that’s full of different portraits.
I tend to illustrate portraits that are currently in the news, and people that are being talked about, for example, painting Oliver Sacks after he passed away last month. I also paint portraits of those who I admire, like David Mitchell from the British television show Peep Show for example.
You can see some of my illustrations below, which includes Drake, Oliver Sacks to the impressive Barack Obama, that are all painted with gouache and edited in Adobe Photoshop. This is my favourite process to illustrate portraits, as I can convey a lot about the character this way.
If you’ll like to see more of my portraits in the future, be sure to follow me on Instagram, I’ll love to see you on there! Enjoy this portrait showcase, and if you have any requests, do let me know by commenting below!
Many thanks for listening and visiting my news page today. You can follow what I’m up to on my Twitter, Facebook or Google + pages, I’ll really appreciate it if you do, and don’t be afraid to say hi to me! Many thanks again, and have a great day!
