Cracked Eye Publication Illustrations

It’s been a crazy few weeks for me at the moment, with a lot of illustration work currently being produced, which is great of course!

I’ve been illustrating for a number of new clients and commissions, (and as I’m a passionate publishing illustrator), which is all very exciting – I’m very much looking forward to showing you soon! (Sorry if I’ve kept you in the dark recently!)

Following on from my recent commission with Cracked Eye Publication, I’ve been fortunate enough to be asked again to produce a further 4 illustrations for their up and coming book ‘Life at the Morgue’.

This is a fantastic book which tells the story of a woman who has an affair at her place of work; a Morgue. It’s a great short story, which I had the pleasure of illustrating for. Cracked Eye publish illustrated books on mobiles, tablets and computers, which celebrate words and pictures – (perfect for me then)!

I love producing illustrations for publications like ‘Cracked Eye’, as it gives me great scope and freedom to produce anything I like, which adds another dimension to the story, and showcases it in a different light.

I enjoy being subtle within my imagery, which doesn’t distract the reader too much from the story, and make up their own minds about how it’s being played out. All of the illustrations have been produced with gouache, watercolour, and then transported into Adobe Photoshop for editing. I focused on colours which I thought go well with the text – reds, oranges and blues.

Below you can see my four publication illustrations for the book, which I hope you enjoy!

Many thanks for listening and visiting my news page today. You can follow what I’m up to on my Twitter, Facebook or Google + pages, I’ll really appreciate it if you do, and don’t be afraid to say hi to me! Many thanks again, and have a great day!
