Cracked Eye Illustrations

I’ve been working with the great guys over at ‘Cracked Eye’ Publication recently, and was asked to produce four illustrations for their latest digital publication.

If you’re not familiar with ‘Cracked Eye‘, they publish brand new stories every month, which are made for all sorts of devices, from phone, tablets, to the good old computer!

Providing high quality stories which are excellently written, they also feature fantastic and initiative illustrations, cartoons, videos, audio-books and graphic novels alongside their stories – which is where I come in!

Responding to the story of ‘Hope Street’, I’ve come up with four internal illustrations which are shown alongside the story. The book tells the story of a young Mum and son within the City of Liverpool, and reveals their close relationship with one another.

I’m not going to talk too much about the book’s plot – as I don’t want too much away.

All of these illustrations are all produced with water colour, gouache and then transported into Photoshop for editing.

I worked hard to make my illustrations fit well within the story; to not distract the viewer from the story, but to compliment instead. It was a great project to work on, which I had a lot of fun producing.

I hope you enjoy the illustrations below!

Many thanks for listening and visiting my news page today. You can follow what I’m up to on my Twitter, Facebook or Google + pages, I’ll really appreciate it if you do, and don’t be afraid to say hi to me! Many thanks again, and have a great day!
