Personal sketchbook drawings is an activity that helps Haydn practice his craft and skill. Haydn loves to experiment with different ways of working, mediums and techniques. It’s the perfect vehicle away from commissioned work. Sketches fuel ideas for new projects, and allows illustrators and artists to ‘be free’. Haydn believes this is when the true artist appears, within the sketchbook.
These personal sketches range from A3 down to A5. Featuring portraits, landscapes and experiments, drawing with coloured pencil, dip pen and graphite.
If you liked these personal sketchbook drawings, check out Haydn’s portrait sketchbook. As you can tell, it’s paintings, and filled to the brim of portraits. Who could have guessed it! Or if you want something a bit different, check out these conceptual illustrations. Titled ‘Social Media Reality’, this project looks at how social media has changed our society and everyday being.
