2020 Moleskine Sketchbook

Following from Haydn’s previous ‘Lockdown Moleskine Sketchbook’, below reveals sketches, paintings and illustrations within Haydn’s latest sketchbook. As 2020 draws to a close, in this update you can see colour investigations, with Haydn experimenting with colour triads in particular. Haydn has also created a number of master studies, of Rembrandt and Johannes Vermeer in particular – studying colour and brushwork. This is a great way to learn how the masters created their art, and to get in the minds of these geniuses.

The sketchbook is a place where Haydn can concentrate on personal work, creating things that interest him personally. Haydn treats his sketchbook as a place to help him improve, and gain a deeper understanding of his weaknesses.
