After a rather busy weekend for me in terms of illustration work, which I’m very excited to share with you in a few days time, and add to my portfolio, I decided to loosen up a bit and produce something which is personal to me. After looking through a few magazines lying around, I decided to produce a portrait painting that I could practice with, and hopefully learn from. After producing this illustration, I can see that I have an interest in portraits, as their so interesting to paint! Within this painting I wanted to concentrate on the warmth of her face, with a little bit of cold colours (within the background of the piece) to counteract this. It sort of looks like shes waiting for something to happen in front of her, as she bites her nails in anticipation. I really enjoyed producing this illustration and I hope you like it too.
