I’ve been really wanting to finish off my ‘Breaking Bad Portraits’ project for a while now, but with it being so busy recently, I haven’t been able to, until now!
Produced with watercolour, goauche and then imported into Photoshop for editing, I have recently produced this portrait illustration of Walter White Jr. from the hit television show, Breaking Bad.
This is part of a project where I’ve been painting the portraits of the main characters from the television show, as I’m a big fan of the whole production, characters and story.
Painting the likes of Walter White, Jesse Pinkman and the intimidating Gustavo Fring, it’s been a big joy to firstly practise my portrait paintings, and to paint from a cast which I have big admiration.
Walter White Jr. had a tough upbringing, and you feel for his character, so I wanted to focus on the lonely and isolated part of his character, as his dad is a big time drug lord. It looks like I took this to the extreme though, as he looks pretty depressed!
You can check out my other Breaking Bad portraits here.
