Over the last few weeks, I’ve added a considerably large amount of art products to my Etsy Shop, which now contains a shop which is full of my greetings cards, original paintings and art prints, and following a highly successful Facebook Competition (thanks to those who entered), I’ve recently painted this Venice Original Sunset Painting to be added into my shop.
This Venice inspired painting was painted with good old water colour and gouache, a couple of mediums like I love to use. Using warm colours of reds, yellows, oranges and creating those dark tones with browns, I’m really happy with the outcome of this illustrative painting.
In the distance, you can see the Grand Canal of Venice, a rather stunning and eye catching landscape, which is accompanied with the magnificent ‘Santa Maria della Salute’ within the city, which I painted from a few references photos.
I’m really happy with the outcome of this piece, which you can see in all glory below.
