From my last blog post, I said that I was a bit addicted to typographic illustrations at the moment, and this post doesn’t help my cause, as I’ve produced another one, and am really enjoying it! I wanted to produce some hand rendered type which sat against my way of working with gouache, and see what I could come up with.
So instead of taking inspiration from quotes or sayings, while I was watching Match of the Day (sorry ladies), I got some inspiration from an unlikely source. With Arsenal and Arsène Wenger being a bit under pressure recently, I thought ill do a illustration of their uncertain future, (even though they did win yesterday). It was a fun project as I love painting and drawing faces, and I discovered that the Arsenal manager has quite a few wrinkles, maybe because of his stressful job!
