As I enjoy painting portraits, football and illustrated maps, I decided to do this unique illustrated map of ‘The English Managerial Career of Bobby Robson’. Showcasing all of Bobby’s clubs which he has managed within England, including that of the national team of England.
I also hope to get more into hand rendered typography as I am very interested in this area of illustration.
Below my final artwork shows my sketchbook which I develop my of ideas and compositions. I use thumbnails to do this as you can easily see what image works best for my illustration.
I try and work out every angle and option before committing to the final, as this is where I get my best ideas from. I find the sketchbook very important in developing ideas and concepts.
I have also shown my typographic developments from my sketchbook, which I am trying to develop which each project. These also include experiments which I have tried with different colours to see how this effects the type.
