Following on from a busy few weeks, which consisted of a brand new illustration which I produced for The Clerkenwell Post, I also painted this private canvas painting, which was produced with gouache and watercolour.
It was a great painting to produce, and am really happy with the end result. This private canvas commission is based on the landscape of Tenby in Wales, which I’ve never heard of before painting this scene.
It’s a really stunning part of the world, which was a pleasure to paint from (not that I actually painted from the real source, unfortunately).
I love to paint on canvas, as the surface is perfect for my style and way of working, as I build up the layers to form the overall piece.
