On top of the various exhibitions and galleries which I’m currently exhibiting my work at, including one in Basingstoke Festival Place, I’ve recently produced a brand new illustration for an up and coming exhibition in London.
The whole idea behind the exhibition is to showcase players and managers for the beginning of the Premier League Season, in an illustrative and creative way. I was asked to illustrate Raheem Sterling of Liverpool FC, which was great fun to produce!
This will be shown at the Old Red Lion Theatre Pub, amongst the other talented individuals who will also be showcasing their depictions. With my illustration, I wanted to focus on the main colour of Liverpool; red, which features a lot throughout the illustration.
Starting the portrait with watercolour, the piece is then produced with gouache, and then edited in Photoshop.
If you’re interested in seeing my illustration in the flesh, the address of the Old Red Lion Theatre is 418 St John Street, London, EC1V 4NJ.
It sounds like it’s going to be a great exhibition, which I’m really pleased to be showcasing my illustration.
You can see the final illustration below, which will be featuring within the exhibition. Let me know if you’re thinking of attending the event, it’ll be great to see you there!
Let me know on Twitter or Facebook!
I hope you enjoy the illustration!
