Just a quick blog post from me today to show you a recent illustration I produced for ‘The Illustrated Game’, reacting towards Jaun Mata’s recent transfer from Chelsea to Manchester United, which I personally think Chelsea were completely bonkers about, as he is such a good player. To not play him in their team is crazy, but anyway (after that little rant), this illustration is now up on their Tumblr page, which is really worth a look, as they feature some great illustrations and articles, and is run by a couple of great folks, so I encourage you to look at their page.
It was quite interesting producing his illustration as I had to paint from a mixture of references, one of Mata with a Chelsea top (as there aren’t any of him with a Man Utd top), a Manchester United top, and another reference of a stadium setting, so it was interesting to work too!
It was a very fun project for me to be a part on, and I’m really looking forward to my next illustration!
