I’m trying to build up my typographic illustrations and way of working, and see how this progresses as I learn how to construct my illustrative type.
My previous blog posts about hand rendered type, required me to go online to find some interesting quotes to illustrate, however this time I’ve decided to choose my own quote.
I started thinking of quotes which are short and would not be not too long too read, so I went for ‘Live For Today’, going along the lines of making the most out of everyday which you live.
Below shows my sketchbook of the type which I developed, from the initial sketches to the more developed idea. From this I scanned this into Photoshop to develop the colours and layout of the type. I used quite warm and inviting colours, as I wanted the quote to be uplifting and hopefully influence you.
