As a freelance illustrator, I mainly work on commissioned artworks for clients in the commercial industry, from editorial to publishing. When I get the chance to paint on canvas, and produce an original canvas painting, I jump at the chance.
Following on from a previous canvas paintings, I thought I would take the opportunity to paint these 3 canvases that you can see below.
I really enjoy producing landscape canvas paintings, as it allows me to practice my painting skills, work on my colour, and build my painting compositions. This is so important that I keep growing this side of my illustration skills, as it makes a huge difference to every piece of art.
Before I became an freelance illustrator, I was interested in becoming a fine artist. I love painting so much, so thought I would combine painting and illustration together. This combination seems to be working so far!
Landscape Canvas Paintings
I particularly enjoy painting landscapes, as who doesn’t like a landscape on their walls? I certainly love it!
Showcasing zebra’s in the Safari, an English setting and a couple at the beach, these canvases were all of produced with watercolour and gouache. These paintings all pack a big punch with colour, as I worked hard to make sure every painting had that ‘wow’ moment.
