Even though it has been good to build up my collection of greetings card designs, that are sold on my shop, this will be the last greetings card design for a while, as I’m sure you guys have had enough of all these card illustrations, so I think I’m going to move away from greetings cards for a while.
This particular design will be sold within my shop within a few days, so keep your eyes peeled for that. With this design, I wanted to incorporate romance, red, love and the themes around ‘Happy Anniversary’.
Like my previous blog posts, I am always trying to change and evolve my typography which I use. In this occasion I have used the descender of the Y’s of both the happy and anniversary, and join them up to show two people holding hands.
This was a really interesting and challenging to produce, as I wanted the whole type to flow, so smooth lines was very important. I think this concept works well and combines this and the theme around love and romance. Even though it may be clique, I had to use the colour red as it’s the only colour which is associated with romance and passion, which is what I wanted to get across.
