It was about time I added to my Greetings Card collection, and what better way to do just that with this ‘Get Well Soon’ illustration. My current collection of Greetings Cards are Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Happy Anniversary and Various Christmas Cards, so I thought it would be good to increase this by one more. I also wanted to experiment a little bit with digital painting, and use my gouache techniques and take these into a Photoshop painting. After producing some thumbnails of the idea and composition (which is shown below), I took this into Photoshop to be copied and drawn out. Including a funky little face in-between the two o’s of ‘Soon’. It was interesting to see how my painting skills can transfer themselves into digital painting, and I hope you guys like this illustration.
