Filming Locations In London

I recently produced this illustrated map of the Film Locations in London, showcasing some particular films which are shot in he City.

I decided to pick out Snatch, Gandhi, Inception, The King’s Speech and The Italian Job, which are all films I personally love.

It was a great project to produce, as I continued the idea from my Hitchcock Filming Locations Map , which is on my portfolio map tab. I also produced the type, which is just my natural hand writing. I think it works quite well with this sort of illustration.

Below the final illustration shows the thumbnails which I worked from, so you can see the progression of the piece. I always do a colour pencil thumbnail sketch before the final artwork, so I can see what colours will go where, and if they work together.
