I’ve been wanting to produce a few expressive paintings for a while now, and see what I can come up with. As I love to get into details within my commissioned and portfolio work, I thought it would be good if I tried being more expressive, and these are the results.
It’s also a way to further practice my water colour painting, which I’ve been quite addicted to at the moment!
I wanted to only use the biggest brush I’ve got for these paintings (around an inch long), so it refrains me from going into details too much, and resorting to my usual way of working.
With this, I have not put these paintings into Photoshop, as this could be an excuse for me to add details, and have only used it to crop the images (sorry Photoshop).
I actually really enjoyed being ‘free’ and expressive within these paintings, and feel that it gives off a captivating atmosphere. I have only used a few colours within these paintings so it captures the atmosphere which I’m trying to achieve.
Many thanks for listening and visiting my news page today. You can follow what I’m up to on my Twitter, Facebook or Google + pages, I’ll really appreciate it if you do, and don’t be afraid to say hi to me! Many thanks again, and have a great day!
