As I’ve been taking the bus a lot recently, and for those of you who are familiar to this illustration blog, know that this is my only form of transport at the moment, even though I have a license, but not a car, argh! But anyway, I always try and use this time to draw, as it’s a good way to sketch different people, characters, and getting that all important practice! Over the last few weeks, I thought it would be a good idea to draw on these tickets, and to not simply throw them away. The piece of paper has exactly the time and date of the drawing (roughly), as I draw on it as soon as I’ve boarded. It’s a good way to keep track of when I produced certain drawings, and also a good way to care for the environment, as I’m technically using less paper. I’ve noticed that a lot of the people which I draw have hats on, probably because it’s Winter, but still interesting nevertheless! You get some really interesting characters on public transport, which makes it even more interesting to draw from!
Below shows a few drawings which I’ve scanned, and also the other side of the tickets, so you can see when I produced each drawing. I manually removed the logo from each ticket; if your questioning why there’s such a big part of the ticket missing.
