Before I begin this animation blog post, I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I hope you’re surrounded by friends, family and good times this Christmas. Here’s to a great 2016, and I hope you have found memories about 2015!
Now back to normality, I wanted to share some new animation illustrations with you today, that are now all added to my illustration portfolio.
I’ve always been influenced and inspired by this topic, so I thought it was about time I added some more of it to my online portfolio. Animation and illustration works excellently together, and really brings an illustration to life.
Taking my personal and commissioned illustrations, I’ve made several animations that highlight my illustration and animation skills (as I want animation to be a big part of my portfolio of work). These generally start with gouache paint, that is then scanned into Photoshop, and animated in After Effects.
These animations have been transformed into .gif animations, that is ideal for web and other devices, that repeat and repeat (till you get bored of them :D). Featuring a football artwork, Micheal Paulo (a great jazz musician), and a cityscape, this was a great personal project, that I thoroughly enjoyed!
If you liked these illustrations and would like to see more of my work, be sure to check out my new logo designs for a local client that I recently produced, or a website design that I recently finished for a local Swimming Club!
I hope you have a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year, and see you in 2016!
