Quote Magazine Illustrations Haydn was asked by Quote Magazine in the Netherlands, as part of Hearst Magazines, the largest publisher of magazine media across digital and print, to create 3 magazine illustrations for their new issue.
Illustrating for a special addition to the magazine, Haydn was asked to illustrate how people live and spend their money - especially investigating how wealthy figures in our society spend their fortunes.
Divided into three parts, Haydn was asked to create 1 illustration spread and 2 full page magazine illustrations. The stories looked at old fashion proletarians, silicon valley tech nerds who pose to be hippies (who cannot live without money however), and hipsters who spend too much on extreme items.
Included with these final illustrations are the rough sketches sent to the client in the development stage. Haydn painted with a limited colour palette, using gouache and digital to create the illustrations, concentrating the illustrations on the pinnacle figures that each story represents. Haydn would like to thank the client for a very enjoyable project!
