Portrait Illustration

As a tribute to the late branding specialist Wally Olins, Haydn was asked by the online publication ‘Wall of Wally’ to produce a portrait for their website.

Asking illustrators, fine artists, and designers to illustrate a portrait of this legendary figure, the publication celebrates Wally’s life in the form of his portrait; showcasing many different styles, methods and approaches.

Haydn’s portrait illustration of Wally focuses on his warm and friendly side to his character, relaxing back in his chair after thinking through a project, with this famous bow tie on full display.

If you don’t know much about Wally Olins CBE, he co-founded Wolff Ollins and Saffron Brand Consultants, and was an expert in the world of corporate identity and branding. He wrote many books during his lifetime, including ‘Wally Olins. Brand New: The Shape of Brands’, which is one of Haydn’s favourite books on branding.
