Within this sketchbook entry I have been recording the things around me, including some character and figurative sketches, which I should really do more of!
I found this figurative exercise very interesting and really enjoyed it, and I had to record all the details quite quickly from each pose. This sort of drawing allowed me to produce a drawing which had expression and character, and didn’t allow me to tighten up.
This is an exercise that I’ll be looking into producing more often. This sketchbook post also shows drawings from my bedroom window, and some garden drawings of plants and of nature. Which seems to crop up inside my sketchbook quite often.
