Following on from my series of Breaking Bad portraits, from Walter White, Jessie Pinkman to Gustavo Fring, I thought it was about time I produced another portrait illustration.
Within this illustration, I focus on the character ‘Marie Schrader’, who is played by Betsy Brandt. Marie is married to Hank Schrader, who have a very turbulent relationship during the whole of the television show.
I wanted to replicate this within the colours that I used within this illustration, so I stuck to only using blues and reds for the piece.
I’m coming close to finishing off this epic series of Breaking Bad portraits, as I’ve only got two more portraits planned. It’s been really enjoyable illustrating all of these portraits, as I think it’s one of my main interests to paint.
It’s also been good to experiment with other digital elements, like gradients and the brush tool, to make my illustrations more attractive as a whole. But of course, I always stuck by my roots of gouache, painting and other traditional elements, I couldn’t leave these behind!
