I have just completed this Illustrated Pun which I made up for Kids with Puns, a really nice blog which celebrates the visual pun, which asks creatives from all around the web to submit their own visual puns to, so I did!
I’ve always been meaning to submit my own, and now at last I have. As I’ve never produced an illustrated pun or joke before, I really relished this project and got into producing and coming up with the pun.
The pun I was working to was my own, ‘I was told to walk the plank. I wasn’t bouncing for joy’ – I hope it’s not too cheesy, but I suppose that’s what puns are all about! I hope to continue to submit my puns (whenever I can think of them) to Kids With Puns, as I really enjoyed making an illustration which was humorous, which I don’t often get to produce or illustrate to. If you have any puns which you would like me to illustrate, get in touch!
I have also included a sketchbook page from the project, for you lucky guys, showing my thumbnails of compositional ideas, which helps me to come up with more effective and interesting illustrations.
Many thanks for listening and visiting my news page today. You can follow what I’m up to on my Twitter, Facebook or Google + pages, I’ll really appreciate it if you do, and don’t be afraid to say hi to me! Many thanks again, and have a great day!
