As I mentioned a few weeks ago in a previous blog post, during the beginning of January, I produced a few environment background sketches for Pico Concept Limited, a company who expertly works with branding for other companies. They asked me to produce four background sketches as a proposal to one of their clients, which advertises a watch, (without me actually drawing the watch within the sketches). The project was quite a tight turnaround, but saying this I thoroughly enjoyed producing these sketches for Pico. It was a really fun and interesting project for me to work on, as it was good to step away from my paints and produce some high quality sketches.
Below shows four scenes which I produced for Pico, one being that of a contemporary composer’s stand, with his orchestra in front of this. The second being a traditional vineyard which expresses a rustic feel with barrels in the corner. The third being a architect busy adjusting his models, while the fourth showcases a bar scene, expressing grace and elegance.
All of these final artworks were developed from initial thumbnail sketches, which I worked from to produce these 4 background sketches.
I also have to say thanks to Max for passing my details onto Pico, and to Jamie Topp, who assisted me during the project.
